Download and Install the latest Teamboard driver from http://www.teamboard.com.au/support.html |
Q2. Have you connected the USB cable from the Teamboard to your Computer?
Plug in the USB cable from your computer to the wall plate (if installed) otherwise directly into the Interactive Whiteboard via the Teamboard dongle |
Q3. Has the USB cable been inserted into the wall upside down?
Flip the USB cable so as that the curved side is in line with the curved side on the wall plate |
Q4. Is the USB socket in the wall broken?
Is the centre piece still intact on the USB socket on the wall plate |

There is jagged writing on the Interactive Whiteboard |
See Troubleshoot Q1 through Q6 |
Q9. Have you attached a different computer to the board
In order to identify where this problem is occurring it is a good idea to test a different computer on the Interactive Whiteboard. Likewise, if you have another Teamboard Interactive Whiteboard in the school it would be a good idea to test your laptop/Computer on that board. If the same computer works on a different Teamboard Interactive Whiteboard then it is a problem with the Teamboard. If a different computer doesn’t work on the same Teamboard it will be a board problem. See Troubleshoot Q8. |
Q10. Have you changed the Teamboard Dongle (RJ45 Network to USB)?
If you have multiple Teamboard’s located in your school swap the dongle that is playing up with a known working alternative. If you do not have multiple boards please contact the company you purchase the board from to arrange for a loan. If you change the dongle and the IWB starts to work, you have a faulty dongle; please contact your supplier and ask for a replacement. If the dongle does not work then it is not a dongle issue. |
Q11. Have you earthed the controller box?
An identified potential problem with the Teamboard Interactive Whiteboards is the earthing of the black controller box on the reverse side of the Interactive Whiteboard. This can be created from the paint on the sides of the controller box which will block the metal from earthing via the IWB. Take out the cable that is attached to the black box and remove the black box. Using a screw driver scrape the metal from the edges of the black box until metal is exposed, slide the box back into the IWB and reconnect the cable. This will create the required earthing. |
Q12. If you have earthed the controller box and it is still not working?
If you have earthed the IWB controller box and the IWB is still not working, swap the black box with a known working alternative. If you have multiple Teamboard Interactive Whiteboard’s in your school, swap the box with a working black box. If you do not have multiple Teamboard Interactive Whiteboard’s in your school, call the company that bought the IWB from and request one for testing. If, once swapped, the board is still playing up then it is a membrane or board problem; if the board works then you have a faulty black box. Please contact the company you bought the Interactive Whiteboard from and request a new one. |
The cursor is stuck on a point |
Q13. Does the cursor respond to you touching the board but keeps going back to the same point?
Because the Teamboard’s are only designed to take one touch at a time, when you apply two touches, the IWB will plot the centre point of the two touches. This is the case with the cursor being stuck in a point. If you try to use the board and the cursor only ever comes half way to where your finger is from its original location there is something causing the two membranes to touch. This could be two things. If there is a lump behind the board push a flat surface like a book up against it – this should remove the lump and the board should function as per normal. If this doesn’t work please call the place where you purchased your board. If there is no lump there is a chance that the board could have been bowed in the manufacture or transport stages. Please call the place where you purchased your board. |
